Slough i/ˈslaʊ/ is a borough and unitary authority within the ceremonial county of Royal Berkshire, England. The town is about 20 miles (32 kilometres) west of Charing Cross, London. It is bisected by the A4 and the Great Western Main Line. At the 2001 census, the population of Slough was 119,070 (140,200 in 2011) and the borough area was the most ethnically diverse local council area .
